Garage Door Opener
Repair
"The technician arrived quickly, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it in no time." — Tom R., Issaquah
We Fix Openers.
We Don't Just Replace Them.
A lot of opener problems have a straightforward fix, such as a logic board, circuit component, safety sensor alignment, stripped gear, or wall button issue.
We diagnose the actual problem before recommending a solution. If a repair is the right call, that is what we do. If the opener is genuinely at end of life, we tell you that too with options and real pricing.
We check the garage door system and the opener before recommending parts. Many opener failures are caused by the door being too heavy, unbalanced, or mechanically stressed.

What We Diagnose & Repair
Most opener failures have a specific cause. Here's what we see most on Eastside service calls.
Could be a dead logic board, tripped thermal overload, power issue, or a remote that needs reprogramming. We diagnose it systematically.
Most often a safety sensor alignment issue, dirty photo eyes, or a close-force setting that needs adjustment.
Classic stripped drive gear symptom. The motor runs, but force does not transfer to the garage door.
Sudden noise usually points to worn sprockets, a loose chain, failing motor components, or a door system that is dragging.
Wall button issues are usually wiring or a failed button. Remote-only failures often point to antenna or receiver issues.
Intermittent failure can be a logic board, capacitor, wiring issue, or radio frequency interference. We test systematically and do not guess.
Brands & Components We Work On
We service all major opener brands and carry common repair components on the truck.
All models including 8500, 8580, 84505, and legacy units.
Residential and myQ-enabled smart openers.
Chain, belt, and screw-drive models.
Including older Sears models with compatible parts.
Main control board replacement on most residential units.
Stripped gear replacement, one of the most common mechanical failures.
We tell you the truth. Always.
The opener is under 10 years old, the failure is a specific repairable component, like a gear, logic board, or sensor, and the repair cost is meaningfully less than replacement. A $150 gear replacement on a 6-year-old LiftMaster is usually the right call.
The opener is 12+ years old, has multiple failing components, is a chain-drive causing noise complaints, or is undersized for the garage door weight. At that point, a new belt-drive smart opener with battery backup is a better investment than patching an aging system.

Opener Repair FAQ
We'll tell you after diagnosis. If it is a single repairable component on a unit under 10 years old, repair is almost always the right call. If it is an older chain-drive with multiple issues, replacement often makes more sense. We give you both options with honest pricing and let you decide.
On LiftMaster and Chamberlain units, flash codes indicate a specific fault. Common causes include misaligned safety sensors, a broken spring because the opener detects excessive load, or a logic board fault. We read the code on-site and go from there.
We try. Some older units have parts that are no longer manufactured. If that is the case, we will tell you honestly and show you replacement options that make sense for your garage door and budget.
That is often a stripped drive gear or sprocket issue, especially on older LiftMaster and Chamberlain units. The motor runs, but the force is not transferred to the door. We can usually diagnose that quickly.
Yes. A broken spring, unbalanced door, worn rollers, cable issue, or track problem can make the opener look like the failure. We check the door system first so we do not replace opener parts when the real issue is mechanical.
Call (425) 500-6708. Tell us your location and what the opener is doing and we will get you on the schedule, usually same day.
Tell Us What the Opener Is Doing
No trip charge. Tell us whether the opener is not responding, reversing, flashing, running without moving the garage door, making noise, or working intermittently.
